Arvo Neidre, M.D. The founder of STOSSA, Dr. Neidre has practiced Orthopaedic Surgery in San Antonio since 1976.

Born in Estonia, Dr. Neidre was educated in Canada, receiving his undergraduate and medical (M.D.) degrees from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Neidre completed a year of internship, a year of post-graduate work in specialized anatomy, and five years of additional specialty training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto in Canada before moving to San Antonio in 1976 to assume a faculty position at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in the Division of Orthopaedics, where he established a spine surgery program for the orthopaedic department. Dr. Neidre moved to private practice in 1980, but he still maintains a part-time teaching position at the UTHSC Medical School as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Neidre is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, by examination.

In addition to the everyday challenges associated with running an association of renowned medical specialists and surgeons, Dr. Neidre enjoys all of the quality time he can get with his two children, Christopher and Daria, and his wife, Bridget.
